Hide&Seek, the Leeds, UK, production duo comprised of Ste Joyce and Sam Woods, have no need to worry about standing out amongst the plethora of music that floods the industry.
This team is lightyears ahead of many of the other players in the game. Their tight productions feature signature pitch shifted vocals, beautiful synths, and bass heavy drops.
This duo is one of my my favorite finds in 2013. Their music feeds my addiction, leaving me with the best sort of natural high money can buy!
Their latest EP is no exception. Simply put…Boooooom!
It’s guaranteed we will see much, much more from these two, who have already seen support from the likes of 1xtra and KISS FM UK.
Indie Pop band ‘Mr Tom‘ is fastly gaining recognition across UK. The band of four (Donny B, Steve Colver, Nick Crowe, and Leeroy Marcer) had such an impressive live performance at a showcase night in London, they garnered the attention of producer Danton Supple (Coldplay, Ian Brown, Amy MacDonald). He was so impressed he decided instantly he wanted wanted to be their producer.
Mr Tom’s Debut EP King & Queen has two tracks produced by Danton Suppler. Also featured on the EP is ‘Dead Of The Night’ which was produced by James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses, Grammatics and Chapel Club). The track ‘Hook, Line & Sinker’ is produced by Mr Tom.
They have also attracted the attention of Rob Da Bank who after booking them for Bestival this summer, snapped them up for a new initiative he is setting up to support independent up and coming bands by syncing their music to films, adverts and TV shows across the UK and USA.
2012 was a busy year for the Southampton 4 piece. The lads travelled the length and breadth of the country on a 6 week UK tour, gigging by night and busking by day. During this time they were spotted by clothing brand; MAS-IF whilst busking in Manchester and ended up being used in promotional campaigns to help launch the brand alongside such artists as Maverick Sabre and deadmau5. Also they self released their debut single ‘Feet Hit The Floor’ and had another track synced to a new British Indie Film ‘PIGGY’ (Vertigo Films) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeFRzQWQWLM
I enjoyed this band’s fresh crisp sound which is tinged with a slight sound reminiscent of 80’s.
The festival season sees the lads grace stages at The New Forests; Early Riser Festival, The Oxford Simple Weekender, and A Sausage and Beer festival at Jimmy’s Farm [as seen on TV] plus a full UK tour later in the year.
They have also seen the support of: BBC Introducing, 6Music, XFM, NME radio, Amazing Radio, DIY Radio and a host of regional stations.
Here are a couple really nice UK Garage tracks from Mr Promo. The first is a nice dark 2step vocal and the second is a great bubbler.
Born 1982 and raised in London, England. I noticed my interest in music at a young age and I started DJing at the age of nine. My first production was shortly after at the age of 11 , which was called ‘To The Beat Now’ .
I have been fortunate enough to have DJ’d all over London in many well known places and all over Cyprus including the world famous Ayia, Napa. I have been entertaining audiences for many years.
Aspired on the UK Garage Underground Scene, but always had a love for House Music. I love to play the piano as I consider it my finest talent. This year I aim to bring back the classic house scene with big piano chords, the ‘good time vybes’.
