Christina Johnson, aka “C.J. ~ The Sassy Yank” is 1/3 of one of the freshest UK Garage Radio Shows, “The Push and Pull Show”. The show features DJ Aaron Potts, Colin “MC-IC” Chafer and The Sassy Yank. It consistently has some of the freshest UKG music available. Our show showcases fresh UKG for the first hour and respects UKG’s roots by playing old school flavors for the second half.
You can catch us on one of the original house and garage radio stations, the four time award-winning Freek FM (www.FreekFMlive.com), every Thursday from 10pm to 12am GMT. The Push and Pull Show firmly believes in pushing UKG into the forefront globally and does everything possible to support this genre.
Some of what I do for the show: Social Media Manager, Website Creator/Manager, Marketing Manager, Merchandising Manager, Publicist, Talent & Music Acquisition, Booking Agent and Co-Producer.
C.J. is also the creator of the music publication The Sassy Yank. She created The Sassy Yank as a way to express her major passion for music. The Sassy Yank is different from other music publications as it does not strictly focus on featuring music and interviews; C.J. actively works hard to locate and build social networks, groups, etc in attempts to find ways to actively promote the music she supports. The Sassy Yank publication has now been viewed in 90 different countries to date. She also contributes music content for DejaVu FM.
The Sassy Yank has had the pleasure to work with numerous DJs, artists, promotion companies, radio stations, and a TV station to assist in writing articles, consulting on social media, promotion, creating artist promo packs, and biographies. Through her hard work and dedication to the music she has managed to build a decent respect and recognition amongst the music community.

C.J. has a diverse background with strong communication, public socialization and networking skills. She has had the opportunity to gain experience in several careers all of which have required strong people/communication skills for example:
- Serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as an Emergency Medical Technician, a Medic, a CPR Instructor, Annual Tour Coordinator and Health Services Administrator until her retirement as a Master Sergeant in 2010. As the Annual Tour Coordinator she had the pleasure of flying to various locations to be the advanced cadre. The advanced cadre is a person or team assigned to investigate the need for medical/dental support, available services, and serve as a liaison/planner/coordinator with medical and community facilities. Once the needs of the facility were established then coordinated the travel, lodging, education, and medical certifications requirements to send squadron personnel to fulfill the medical needs of that facility.
-Managing a $50 million a year legal program for a government agency (the 7th largest of its kind in the USA). Including managing a staff of 12 (including investigators, paralegals, adjudicators, and secretaries), negotiating settlements, representing the agency in mediations, conducting advanced investigations (including complex fatality and serious injury investigations), as well as doing public speaking engagements educating about the proper application of the law to employers, lawyers, counselors, and universities, etc.
- Serving as a consultant in the legal department of a government agency reviewing cases on appeal, weighing evidence, writing legal analysis, deciding if a case should be litigated or if a settlement should be negotiated, responding to requests for discovery, interrogatories and testifying on behalf of the agency.
